It burns me up watching the murders of our Ambassador and three other Americans in Libya, and the rioting outside our embassies in Yemen and Egypt and elsewhere.
They've tried to blame it on some stupid anti-Islamic movie trailer online, we know that's just an excuse to hate on America on the 9-11 anniversary.
It makes me want to just lock up our embassies, walk away from these places, and leave them to their own devices. Oh yeah, and tell them we're taking our money too, good luck, we'll keep selling you our 30 year old cars.
That's what most of us probably want to do, but we can't. Because even if we someday become energy independent, an unstable Middle East is a threat to the rest of the world.
But it is time to stop the apologizing, and remind these countries just how lucky they are to have our aid, our protection, and our business.
I think it's time we tell the leaders in these countries you get on the TV now and tell your people you support the US's presence and help to your country and it's time they did to.
If you can't do that, look for another Superpower benefactor. You won't find one as generous as the United States.
I'm Kelly Ogle and that's MY 2 Cents.
