Sooners Tie Rice In Fourth Overtime Game Of Season

OU scored in the 81st minute to force overtime, then battled to a tie with Rice.

The Oklahoma Sooners soccer team started a two-game road trip in Texas Friday night with a 1-1 tie against Rice.

It was the Sooners fourth overtime game this season, and OU is still looking for its first win in an overtime game. The Sooners are 0-2-2 in overtime games this season.

"You have to credit Rice for taking the game to us and you would expect that with them being at home," said Oklahoma head coach Matt Potter. "Halftime was an opportunity for us to ask honest questions and then regroup.

Reane Cuellar scored the Sooners' only goal with in the 81st minute to tie the score and force overtime.

The Sooners travel to Dallas on Sunday to take on SMU at 7 p.m.
