A domestic dispute turned deadly Saturday when a man was shot and later died at a local hospital.
One woman in custody, but police can't say yet what role she played in this shooting.
Police stopped a car near NE 36th St. and Prospect and found the victim inside. He was being taken to the hospital, but an ambulance was called took him the rest of the way. He died Saturday afternoon.
The shooting happened at a home in the 3200 block of Fonshill Ave. Police say it all happened around 12:30 p.m. during some type of domestic dispute. One man suffered a critical gunshot wound. He went to the hospital in critical condition and died there from his injuries.
Police wouldn't say where the man was hit. The shooter apparently took off from the scene and police were looking for her. Officers interviewed several witnesses at the scene, but nobody was taken into custody.
News 9 spoke with the victim's cousin shortly after the shooting. She says the family was in shock because this shooting hit so close to home.
"When it's your relative it's an impact. No matter what the situation is, it's just an impact on life, you know," said the cousin.
Police aren't releasing the victim's name yet.
