Firefighters put out a small grassfire that burned in southwest Oklahoma City.
The fire reportedly burned about half an acre of land a quarter mile west of Meridian Avenue at 5200 S.W. 119th Street.
Maj. Tammy McKinney says firefighters received a call about 11:25 a.m. Tuesday of a fire approaching a barn. McKinney says crews quickly contained the blaze and remained at the scene to monitor any areas that were still smoldering.
She says there were no reports of injuries or damage to structures.
Wildfires remained a threat on Tuesday because of warm, dry and windy conditions across Oklahoma. A Red Flag fire warning was issued for six counties in southeastern Oklahoma through Tuesday night.
