A man from Depew, Oklahoma, was killed after he crashed his vehicle in Creek County Sunday afternoon.

It happened just before 4 p.m. Sunday, on 201st Street South, about one mile west of State Highway 16 in Creek County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2008 Ford F250 pickup driven by 52-year-old Lynn Ed Holland was westbound on 201st Street South, when it failed to negotiate a curve. The pickup then ran off the roadway to the right, overcorrected, and ran off the roadway to the left again.

The pickup reportedly then hit a ditch and went airborne, striking a tree before coming to rest on its top, according to the OHP collision report.

Holland was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries. Troopers say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
