A man from Tuttle, Oklahoma has been found guilty of molesting a young girl over a two-year period.

Robert Eugene Lee, 62, was convicted of two counts of lewd molestation. The jury recommended a punishment of 45 years for Lee.

According to court documents, Lee was arrested and charged with molesting a female child over a two-year period. The victim was 10 years old when the molestation began. She alleged that the abuse occurred approximately 20 times over this period of time.

Lee's formal charges included one count of Lewd Molestation of a Child Under 12, one count of Lewd Molestation, and one count of First Degree Rape by Instrumentation.

On August 10, 2011, authorities say the child's family members went to Lee's home in Tuttle to confront him about the abuse. Lee reportedly stated "she did it to me" and "she started it," that's when the confrontation became physical.

The Tuttle Police Department was called to the scene, and the molestation allegations were reported to law enforcement. Lee was then arrested and jailed, where he has been awaiting trial.

The jury heard two days of testimony from nine witnesses, including the victim and Lee.

A formal sentencing date has been set for December 10, 2012 at 1:30 p.m.
