One person was killed and another is in critical condition after single-vehicle accident on a county road in Seminole County, Saturday night.
According to the police report, 25-year-old Terrence Thompson was driving a 1993 Pontiac northbound on county road NS355 in Seminole County just after 11 p.m.
Thompson was driving at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway to the left. The vehicle struck a tree and partially rolled, coming to rest on the passenger side. Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the vehicle, 18-year-old Felicia Rumbo, was pinned for approximately an hour and 45 minutes before being freed by the Seminole Fire Department using the Jaws of Life. She was medi-flighted to OU Medical Center in OKC where she is listed in critical condition.
The report did not state whether or not Thompson or Rumbo were wearing their seatbelts.
