One man is shot, and police are looking for a suspect after violence erupted at a Halloween party early Thursday morning.

Oklahoma City Police say the shooting happened outside the Springlake Event Center at N.E. 36th Street and Kelley Avenue. Witnesses say the victim was shot once in the shoulder shortly before 3 a.m. The gunman then left the scene, and police are still searching for him.

Another person received an injury to the face, but police aren't sure what caused that wound. It it not life-threatening.

Several people News 9 spoke with say the center was hosting a Halloween party when the shooting occurred.

A large crowd remained outside the Springlake Event Center until 4:30 a.m. Police have not released the names of the victim and suspect.

Following the shooting, police attempted to stop the driver of a car that was seen leaving the area. After a brief chase in a nearby neighborhood, one man from inside that car was taken into custody, but police say he had nothing to do with the shooting.
