Police arrest a woman caught trying to set a northeast Oklahoma City house on fire.

On Friday, November 1, officers responded to a call at 2106 N.E. 23rd Street in Oklahoma City. The victim claimed a woman was dousing gasoline on his front door and trying to set his house on fire.

When officers arrived on scene, they saw 37-year-old Tarlynda Lafai Huff standing over a small fire that had been lit in the driveway. Officers say Huff was holding a small red gas can with a rag stuffed in it, lit it, looked at the officer then threw the flaming gas can at the front door.

Police immediately took Huff into custody. The fire department arrived and put out the fire.

Police said the victim and a witness then came out of the house and were highly intoxicated. The victim told police that Huff wanted to have sex with him and became angry when he refused.

According to the report, Huff told officers the victim had assaulted her and that she had a cut on the left side of her head. However, when officers tried to question her about the alleged assault, she would only state "your mama." Officers took Huff to a local hospital for treatment. Once inside the ER, Huff refused treatment and began shouting profanities and kicking hospital equipment, the report states.

Huff was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on the charge of attempted arson.
