Emergency Crews Respond To Crash In NW OKC

According to the Oklahoma City police, a pickup truck was going eastbound on N.W.18th Street, when it crashed through the fence and ran into the southbound lanes on Interstate 44.

Emergency crews responded to a crash in northwest Oklahoma City Sunday afternoon.

It happened just after 12 p.m. Sunday. According to the Oklahoma City police, a pickup truck was going eastbound on N.W.18th Street, when it crashed through the fence and ran into the southbound lanes on Interstate 44. Police say the pickup then landed on top of the median at the interstate.

Luckily, no other vehicles were hit during the incident.

EMSA officials say one person was transported from the scene to a local hospital. That person's condition is considered not critical.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department and Police Department both responded to the crash. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers are assisting with traffic control until the roadway is cleared.
