Oklahoma City University volleyball's Anna Gentry has been chosen for CoSIDA academic all-district recognition.

Gentry, a junior defensive specialist from Stillwater, has earned a 3.79 cumulative grade-point average while studying kinesiology. She made the college-division academic all-district 7 team.

This year, Gentry posted 257 digs for 2.12 a set. Gentry tallied 19 digs at Lubbock Christian (Texas) on Sept. 28 for her season-high performance.

Academic all-district and all-American selections have been voted on by College Sports Information Directors of America members to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their performances in the classroom and on the field. Athletes nominated were those maintaining a minimum 3.30 GPA while being a starter or valuable member of an intercollegiate team.

The Stars (15-22) reached the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinals this year.
