Calm Waters To Help OKC Families Cope With Death During Holidays

Calm Waters Center for Children and Families will present "Creating New Traditions" Wednesday, November 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A metro non-profit is hosting a special program this week aimed at helping families cope with the loss of a relative or friend during the upcoming holiday season.

Calm Waters Center for Children and Families will present "Creating New Traditions" Wednesday, November 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the organization's center at 4334 N.W. Expressway #101 in Oklahoma City.

"Creating New Traditions" is a free event with children's holiday activities and timely insight from grief specialist Shae Keen, LPC. Keen will share effective ways for families to celebrate old holiday traditions and establish new ones.

Timely discussions are presented to both adults and children in order to better cope with the absence of their loved one.

An RSVP is required for Wednesday's event.
