Rudy Gay's 28 points led five Grizzlies in double-figures as Memphis dispensed of the Thunder 107-97 Wednesday night in OKC.

Kevin Durant led the Thunder with a season-high 34 points, while Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka each added 17. Durant's 10 rebounds led OKC's effort on the glass while Westbrook dished out 13 assists with just two turnovers.

Memphis exploded in the second quarter, outscoring OKC 36-15 in the period to grasp a lead it wouldn't relinquish.

The Grizzlies got solid contributions from the second unit, with Quincy Pondexter, Wayne Ellington and Jarryd Bayless combining for 31 points on 23 shots. OKC's bench couldn't match that effort, with Kevin Martin, Hasheem Thabeet, Eric Maynor and Nick Collison combining for just 13 points in 64 total minutes.

The Griz also got another strong performance from power forward Zach Randolph. The man known as "Z-Bo" dropped 20 points and 11 rebounds, giving the Thunder front line fits all night long.

After trailing most of the night, frustration set in late for the Thunder. Randolph and Kendrick Perkins were both ejected after a shouting match, while players on both sides engaged in some pushing a shoving.

The loss drops OKC to 6-3 on the season and 0-2 against Western Conference opponents that have a winning record. The Thunder gets back at it Friday night in New Orleans at 7 p.m.
