Cleveland County prosecutors have charged a 52-year-old man with first-degree murder in the death of his 77-year-old mother.
Oklahoma City Police arrested Gerald David Hume in the early morning hours of November 14 following a nearly 12-hour standoff at 11000 S. Bryant. Police went to the house the previous day to check on the welfare of Hume's mother, Janet. Police say Gerald Hume refused to let them inside the house, which sparked the standoff.
