A small earthquake that was recorded near Langston, Oklahoma Tuesday was actually closer to Edmond. The U.S. Geological Survey released the updated data Tuesday afternoon.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 2.9 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 12:53 p.m. Tuesday, November 20. Its epicenter was located five miles north of Edmond, nine miles south southwest of Guthrie and 17 miles north of Oklahoma City.
It was about 2 and a half miles deep.
