Northeastern State Softball Signs 7 To New Program

Northeastern State head softball coach Clay Davis announced the signing of seven additions to the RiverHawk program.

Northeastern State head softball coach Clay Davis announced the signing of seven additions to the RiverHawk program.

The class is made up of all high schoolers that include two infielders, one first baseman/pitcher, one second baseman/outfielder and three outfielders.

Full bios are below:

Madison Boyd – 2B/OF – Chelsea HS

Madison helped lead to Chelsea High School to a state tournament appearance in 2012. She was selected to the all-conference team all four years. She was a 2012 first-team all-region selection, and she was named to the all-state team. She finished her high school career with a lifetime batting average that was more than .400. She also led Chelsea in all offensive categories.

Lauren Flanery – OF – Henryetta HS

Lauren is a two-time all-county and all-conference award winner, as well as contributing to two state qualifying teams. She is also a Wendy's Heisman Award winner. She hit .517 her senior year with 15 stolen bases.

Paige Gann – 1B/P – Muskogee HS

Paige hit .422 for the Roughers this fall, while also winning 13 games in the circle. She posted an earned run average of 1.61. She was selected to the All-Phoenix First Team, all-district first team and all-region first team. She was also selected to the all-state fastpitch team.

Ryan Martin – OF – Beggs HS

Ryan is a three-time all conference and all county award winner. She was named her conference's MVP in 2012. She was selected to the 2012 all region team and also was selected to the 2012 all-state fastpitch team. She has a .430 batting average for her career, along with 132 runs scored, 142 RBI, 37 doubles, 14 triples, and 15 homeruns.

Randye Sharp – OF – Oologah HS

Randye helped lead the Lady Mustangs to a state championship this fall with a batting average that was better than .300. She is a two-time all-conference award winner and was selected as a first team all-region member this year. She is also a 2012 all state alternate. She completed her high school career without committing an error in the outfield.

Brianna Trujillo – 3B/SS – Union HS

Brianna hit better than .350 for Union after moving to Tulsa from New Mexico this summer. She was selected to the all-conference and all-region teams, and was at the top of every offensive category for the Lady Redskins.

Jessi Venables – 1B – Muskogee HS

Jessi was selected to the all-conference team in 2012. She led Muskogee in doubles, home runs and runs batted in.
