11-Year-Old Girl Shot At Home In Pottawatomie County

A 11-year-old girl was shot at a home in Twin Lakes, near Shawnee, Wednesday night.  

Crews from Shawnee EMS, the McCloud Fire Department and the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's office are responded to the home, located at 30210 Lake Dr.

Authorities say a 12-year-old brother and 11-year-old sister were playing with a handgun when the boy accidentally shot his sister in the stomach.

The girl was alert and speaking to emergency personnel when they arrived.

She was flown by medical helicopter to OU Medical Center in OKC. Her condition is unknown at this time.
