A man from Jay, Oklahoma, was killed after he crashed his pickup truck in Delaware County Saturday night.
It happened at about 11:40 p.m. Saturday, on State Highway 20, about one mile east of Jay.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 1994 GMC Sonoma Pickup driven by 30-year-old Kyle Bacon was westbound on Highway 20, when it ran off the north side of the roadway. Bacon overcorrected, causing the truck to cross the roadway.
The vehicle eventually ran off the south side of the highway, overturning three times.
Bacon was thrown out of the vehicle during the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the OHP.
Troopers say they did smell an odor of alcohol on Bacon. The cause of the collision is listed as "unsafe speed on curve" in the OHP collision report.
