An 18-year-old man who was kidnapped from Ada was found shot and killed early Thursday morning. Authorities say they have one suspect in custody.

Police have identified the victim as Generro Sanchez. According to the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's office, he and the suspect were students at East Central University.

Authorities say Sanchez was kidnapped from Ada and was brought to the area of Highway 59 and U.S. 177, where he died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Authorities say the suspect, later identified as 18-year-old Jerrod Murray, left the scene. He was found by a deputy about two and half miles away from where Sanchez's body was found. The deputy was checking the area because the Sheriff's Office had received a call of a man walking down the road.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by Asher Police and the District 23 District Attorney's Drug task force, who is still assisting in processing evidence at this time.
