Authorities evacuated four Norman businesses and closed part of a street Thursday evening, due to a gas leak.

Police closed 24th Avenue NW, north of Main Street, to southbound traffic, and were detouring traffic onto either Hemphill or Broadway to the west.

Norman PD said normal traffic flow has resumed now.

However, police said Oklahoma Natural Gas and Norman Fire are still on the scene. ONG responded with heavy equipment to repair the leak, which they said may take a while.
