OKC Mom Arrested For Leaving 2-Year-Old Daughter In Car While Shopping

An Oklahoma City mother was arrested Saturday afternoon after leaving her two-year-old daughter alone inside a car while she went shopping.

It happened at the shopping center at West Country Club and May Avenue in Nichols Hills. Witnesses heard the toddler's crying and called police.

Officers say the windows were slightly cracked open and they were able to get the little girl out.

We're told the mother showed up as her car was being towed away.

The mother was then arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail. The child is in DHS custody.
