Woman Found Dead In Home Is Latest OKC Homicide

Police are searching for information and possible suspects in the suspicious death of a 57-year-old Oklahoma City woman.

Someone asked police to check on the welfare of Shelia Stanley. Shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday, police arrived at her home at 10226 Oxlow Court, near S.W. 104th and Penn. They found Stanley dead inside the residence. She had trauma to her body that police said was consistent with homicide.

The state medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine exactly how Stanley died.

Police have not made any arrests in the case, or named any suspects. They are asking anyone with information about Stanley's death to call the Homicide Tip Line at (405) 297-1200.

Stanley's death is the 94th homicide in Oklahoma City this year.
