A man has pleaded guilty to the shooting an off-duty Oklahoma County deputy as he worked as a security guard at a popular Oklahoma City restaurant.
Keonta Prince entered a blind plea Friday. A judge scheduled his sentencing for March 22. Prosecutors say Prince was involved in the shooting of Major John Waldenville outside of Cattleman's Steakhouse in May 2011. Waldenville survived, but was left blind in one eye and is still recovering from his injuries.
Christopher Baker, Prince's accomplice, was convicted December 7 of intent to kill and robbery with a firearm. A judge sentenced him to life for the shooting, and 30 years in prison for the robbery charge.
