The Oklahoma Panhandle State University men's basketball team (4-7) played a final game prior to the holiday break on Monday night at home against the Bethel College Threshers (2-12) from North Newton, Kan. and it seemed the visitors couldn't miss a shot in the first half while the Aggies struggled to make even a free throw.

OPSU shot 43.6 percent from the field, going 0-7 from outside and making only three of five free throws while Bethel shot 66.7 percent total, 54.5 percent from outside and 85.7 percent from the charity line. As a result, the Aggies were down 52-37 at the half. The men took the floor for the second half and although they were down by 18 with 11 minutes remaining, they finally started to score and a Damar Hill trey got the Aggies to within four points. In the final five minutes of the game, the Threshers put it away by capitalizing on Aggie fouls, making 15 complimentary points.

The next OPSU games are scheduled for Dec. 29 against West Texas A&M Univ. at the First United Bank Center in Canyon. The women tip off at 4 p.m. and the men's game follows at approximately 6 p.m.
