Oklahoma City Police have released the name of a man they say waved a stolen gun at an officer, forcing that officer to open fire.
Tristen Paul Anderson, 26, was shot and killed Tuesday morning at the intersection of Cashion and Youngs Boulevard. A woman called 911, saying Anderson was trying to force his way into her house.

Officer Anthony Franklin encountered Anderson about a block away from the home. Police say Anderson brandished a gun, and he and Franklin engaged in a physical struggle before the officer broke away and shot Anderson.
Anderson died at the scene.
Police say Anderson is a felon with a history of arrests in Oklahoma City. According to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections website, Anderson was previously convicted of possession of a controlled, dangerous substance.
