Your mailbox has probably been filling up with holiday catalogs and circulars. But one retailer that's popular with teenagers is catching some flak for profanity in their ads.
Urban Outfitters put itself on the naughty list with a holiday line including drugs, profanity and sexual innuendo. They are in mailboxes across the country and just in case you missed it, Urban Outfitters will send you the profanity for free.
The cheeky ads aren't aiming for class, more like gag gifts with no apologies or warnings.
The alternative unisex clothing store is wrapping up Christmas with a bow with and the B-word and that's not the only degrading term; Santa isn't looking for Mrs. Claus, but a garden tool.
If gift paper isn't your thing, Urban Outfitters has you covered with suggestive ornaments and this green isn't mistletoe.
Santa isn't the only one making a list and checking it twice, but an activist group says the store targets teens. The American Family Association's One Million Moms says the company "consistently" uses profane language in its merchandise and has been on AFA's watch list for at least three years.
Urban Outfitters is based in Philadelphia, but they have 400 locations nationwide with five retail brands including Anthropologie and Free People. Their customers are mostly teenagers and young adults.
