Here in the metro, the snow totals did not turn out to be as large as anticipated. We are hearing from a lot of Oklahomans who aren't happy.

It is hardly a sledder's dream. The dusting of snow would barely cover the grass of the classic sledding hill near Heffner Parkway and I-44, making for some rough riding.

But sledding was at least an option, and eight-year old Calab Caldwelll would make due. He had a full day in the snow planned out.

"Having a snow ball fight. Making a snow man," Caldwell said.

Forecasters say the snow took a southern track, leaving Oklahoma City with a little bit of ice and less snow.

The die-hard sledders would come out and find a way to enjoy the ride.

"We just kept waiting for the snow to fall more and more and as soon as there was some traction to cover up the ice, we will go out there and find a good sledding spot," one sledder said.

Technically, there needs to be an inch of snow to make this a white Christmas, and we are still waiting for the official measurement from the airport to determine if we can make that official.
