Police found drugs, weapons, and ammunition while searching the Oklahoma City hotel room of a man who claimed to be working undercover for law enforcement.

A clerk at Staybridge Suites at 2740 N.W. 138th Street called police on December 15 after a man wearing a gun came in and said he was working undercover. Officers found that man, 25-year-old Jose Garza, in the back parking lot of the hotel, along with his girlfriend. Police asked to search their rooms, and the two agreed.

During the search, police found nine handguns, along with ammunition. They also found small baggies of methamphetamines, drug paraphernalia, and illegal prescription drugs such as Hydrocodone and Alprazolam, which is also known as Xanax.

Garza, who was convicted in 2008 of transporting 50 kilos or more of marijuana, was arrested. He was booked into the Oklahoma County jail for drug possession, receiving or concealing stolen property, and possession of a firearm after a felony conviction.
