Spencer Police Search For Carjacking Suspect

Spencer Police are on the lookout for a suspect in a carjacking that took place Wednesday night in the area of NE 23^rd and Post Rd.

Police received the call at approximately 8:30 p.m.  The driver, a white female, told police she picked up the suspect, only described as a white male, around 36^th St. and West Minster Rd. and gave him a ride to an unknown area.

The victim says when they got to 23^rd and Post, the suspect punched her in the face and forced her out of the vehicle with her dog. The car was last seen driving north on Post from 23^rd.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Police say they vehicle is a silver 2008 Mazda, with a Texas license plate, number BF9W995. No other details have been released at this time.
