We will soon get a better idea of what Oklahoma City's proposed marquee street downtown will look like.

Tuesday morning, OKC's City Council is expected to vote on a design for part of the Boulevard project.

Original plans called for an elevated bridge over the section near Classen, Western and Reno. Some Oklahoma City neighbors voiced their disappointment with the plan.

They claim a big elevated bridge would kill private development in the area, much like the old I-40 crosstown.

Now, city planners are still recommending a bridge, but a much smaller one than originally designed.

The single bridge will go over Western.

Director of Public Works Eric Wenger says the single bridge will move traffic but also make it, "friendly for future developments and also pedestrians."

Wenger is recommending the single bridge plan, called alternative A, to OKC City Council Tuesday.
