Police confirmed with News 9 Tuesday night that the body of an Oklahoma City mother who went missing in St. Louis has been found.
According to Breckenridge Hills Police, the body of Ebony Jackson was found in the trunk of her car Tuesday in St. Louis.
Ebony Jackson's car was found in the 4400 block of Elmbank in North St. Louis Tuesday morning. Her 3-month-old baby was found abandoned at an apartment complex last Friday.
"Now we know that there is no doubt that Ebony was in the St. Louis area," said a family member. "That removed the doubt that was planted there."
"It's just totally out of character for her to be in a neighborhood like this, or just the car being in a neighborhood like this," another family member said.
Jackson reportedly had a stormy relationship with her baby's father.
Oklahoma City police were not involved in the search for Ebony Jackson. The case is being handled by police in the St. Louis area. The family does suspect foul play.
Jackson's boyfriend is in St. Louis to try to bring their baby back to Oklahoma. Meantime, police are checking Jackson's phone records for any clues.
Meanwhile, we're also learning more about her arrest history in Oklahoma City. According to OKC police, Jackson has been arrested three times since 2005, one includes assault and battery on a police officer.
November 27, 2012, was Jackson's most recent arrest in Oklahoma City. Police say she used her son's stroller to hide merchandise at an area Wal-Mart. Jackson was confronted, and arrested, when she walked out.
In 2011, she was caught stealing at Dillard's Department store at Quail Springs Mall.
Family told police that Jackson suffered some sort of previous brain injury, which causes her not to remember things.
The reason for past brain surgeries isn't clear.
