Police Investigate Death Of Man Hit By Car In SE OKC

Oklahoma City police are investigating the death of a man who was hit and killed in southeast Oklahoma City Wednesday night.

Police say the victim is 57-year-old Michael Walker. The victim's brother said Walker left a hotel to walk to a nearby liquor store located on S.E. 29th Street. When officers arrived, Walker was lying on the northbound service road of I-35, just north of S.E. 29th Street.

Nobody saw how the victim actually ended up on the road. Police say a passing motorist swerved to miss the body on the road, and ended up causing a car accident behind him, and one of those drivers accidentally ran over the body. It is unknown at this time if the victim was originally hit by another car or if he somehow fell and hurt himself.

The case now will be reviewed by the District Attorney's office.
