The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a van carrying Puerto Rican prison officials to the Cimarron Prison Facility in Cushing has been involved in a two-vehicle collision that killed three people.

Trooper Stephen Royster told the Stillwater NewsPress that 49-year-old Michelle Mara Anastasia was driving her Jeep on the wrong side of State Highway 177, and collided with the van Thursday between Stillwater and Perkins. Anastasia was pinned in her car for three hours and died at the scene.

Mayra Ramirez, 54, of Puerto Rico was driving the van filled with prison officials. She was also pinned in her vehicle for more than two hours, and died at the scene. A 35-year-old passenger, Eliezer Claussells, also of Puerto Rico, was taken to Stillwater Medical Center, where she died.

Two other passengers in the van were also injured and are in the hospital in serious condition.
