A woman says a man attacked her Thursday night as she was posting fliers outside a Bricktown club.
The woman, a hostess at the club, was standing in the 100 block of E. Sheridan around 8 p.m. on January 17, when the man approached her. The woman told police the suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Christopher Fowler, began speaking with her.
The victim said Fowler repeatedly asked her questions about the club's security, and whether there were cameras in the area. The victim told him the club was very safe and did have security cameras. The victim also said Fowler asked her about the alley next to the club, and if it went all the way to the next street. She said he also asked her if she would come take a look at the alley.
The woman refused to go and continued putting up fliers. She said while her back was turned to Fowler, he forced his hand up her skirt and between her legs. The woman said the assault only last a few seconds before Fowler removed his hand and began walking away.
The woman ran back into the club and yelled for help. Someone called police while another co-worker chased Fowler and talked to him, but Fowler walked away.
Police arrived and spoke to the victim. According to the police report, she was clearly very upset, and was crying and visibly shaking. Officers searched the area and found Fowler a few streets away. They returned him to the scene and the victim positively identified him.
Police arrested Fowler and booked him into the Oklahoma County jail on complaints of rape by instrumentation, and sexual battery.
