Sex Offender Accused Of Assaulting OKC Motel Employee

A woman called police Sunday morning after she said a man groped her in a motel parking lot.

Police arrived at the motel near Interstate 35 and S.E. 44th Street around 10 a.m. on January 20. A manager told them there were two men outside who'd assaulted her employee.

The victim pointed out 50-year-old Marshall James as the man who assaulted her. She said as she walked through the parking lot, James grabbed her from behind, pulled her to him and groped her breast. The woman managed to break free and run into the motel for help.

Police arrested James and discovered he's a registered sex offender. He also has several felony convictions for burglary, drug possession, and assault and battery on a police officer. He was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on complaints of sexual battery, and assault and battery.
