Despite not having Eric Gordon or Anthony Davis, the New Orleans Hornets looked poised to pull the big upset.

Then the game started.

Kevin Durant's triple-double helped make Derek Fisher and Ronnie Brewer feel right at home as the Thunder completely dumptrucked the Hornets 119-74 Wednesday night in Oklahoma City.

Durant finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in just 27 minutes of play. Russell Westbrook added 29 points including 12-12 from the free-throw line in his 26 minutes. In fact, thanks to the massive scoring margin throughout, no Thunder player played more than Durant's 27 minutes while 13 men saw action and no starter played in the fourth quarter.

Fisher shot 0-4 in 21 minutes in his season debut after signing with the Thunder earlier this week. Brewer scored five points and grabbed four boards in his first game with the team.

Oklahoma City led 62-45 at the half, but things got a lot worse for the Hornets in the third. The Thunder outscored New Orleans 34-15 in the period to take a laughable 96-60 lead into the fourth.

Kevin Martin and Reggie Jackson added 14 points apiece off the Thunder bench, while Serge Ibaka chipped in 18 points and seven boards on 9-11 shooting.

Ryan Anderson led New Orleans (20-39) with 14 points and no other Hornet reached double-figures.

The Thunder (42-15) shot 55.3 percent for the game and 44.4 percent from 3-point range. OKC now heads out on a brutal two-game road trip, playing in Denver Friday and against the Clippers in Los Angeles on Sunday.
