Two People Killed In Durant House Fire

A fire kills two people in Durant Wednesday morning.

Four people were sleeping inside a home when the fire broke out. A fire marshal says two people made it out but there was a couple that did not.

Randall McDonald says he's known the family since he was a kid and was good friends with the two people who died.

"Their family helped my family out with things and our family helped them out with things," said McDonald. "We all became like brothers and sisters."

Neighbors say they're trying to collect what they can to help the family out.
