An elderly Norman woman says because of the misdeeds of a family member, OG&E has told her they plan to shut off her power soon.

Roverna Taylor, 62, lives on a monthly disability check and small military pension.  She says her nephew used her social security number several months ago to open an account with OG&E that he never paid.

Taylor says her nephew is now in prison for an unrelated offense and she says OG&E is threatening to cut off the power to her apartment, unless she can come up with $1,400.

"I know I shouldn't have given him my social security number," she said.  "I know that now. I don't know what I'm going to do."

An OG&E spokesperson told News 9 Thursday night they are investigating the situation, they say is "complicated".

OG&E says they will get back to us on Friday about Taylor's situation.
