OKC Police Arrest Woman Accused Of Not Reporting Rape Of Young Girl

Police arrest an Oklahoma City woman after she neglected to report the alleged rape of a 6-year-old girl.

According to a police report, Maria Marquez, 40, knew that the child was allegedly raped, but didn't take her to the hospital or contact police.

A family member called police after hearing an argument between the girl and her 11-year-old alleged attacker. Police arrested the juvenile boy on complaints of rape. Marquez faces a charge of failing to report child abuse.

The 6-year-old victim is in DHS custody.
