An Oklahoma City truck driver is furious with the state of Oklahoma for snatching away her commercial driver's license or CDL last week.
Cassandra Stuart hauls fuel, and says she got a letter last week from the state. It says she can't drive her truck anymore, because she hasn't submitted a valid medical card to the DMV.
That medical card became a Federal Law 14 months ago, but Stuart says nobody ever told her.
"This is our livelihood, this is how I make my living, I just didn't know," she said.
A state safety spokesperson tells News 9 truck drivers have had a year-long grace period to abide by the new Federal law.
We talked to a handful of truck drivers at a local truck stop Tuesday afternoon, they all told us they know about the new law.
Cassandra Stuart says she knows of dozens of others who didn't know about the new law.
