Lockdown Lifted At Oklahoma City University After Shots Fired Off-Campus

The campus of Oklahoma City University was put on lockdown Tuesday night due to reports of shots fired off campus, according to police.

The campus of Oklahoma City University was put on lockdown Tuesday night due to reports of shots fired off campus, according to police. 

According to Oklahoma City police, at about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the reports of shots fired in the 1900 block of N.W. 29th Street. However, officers only found shell casings when they arrived at the scene.

The campus of Oklahoma City University, located at 2501 N. Blackwelder Ave., was placed on lockdown at about 10:09 p.m. Tuesday, according to campus police. The lockdown was lifted just before 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Students were urged to seek shelter and lock their doors, and stay inside buildings until further notice.

No one was injured during the incident. Police have not released any suspect information at this time.
