While many people will be out celebrating St. Patrick's Day this weekend, those who drink and drive will not enjoy the luck of the Irish.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office will target drunken drivers with saturation patrols and a sobriety checkpoint beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday, March 16 and ending at 3 a.m. Sunday, March 17.

The sheriff's office has a zero tolerance policy, and anyone caught driving under the influence will be arrested.

AAA is once again offering its Tipsy Tow service for St. Patrick's Day partyers in the Oklahoma City metro, Shawnee, Enid, Ardmore and Lawton. People who feel they've had too much to drink and can't drive can call 1-800-222-4357.

"Too many times, we hear of Oklahomans getting into trouble when they attempt to drive after drinking. Over the holidays, up to 40 percent of all fatal crashes involve alcohol," said Chuck Mai, spokesman for AAA Oklahoma. "We know holiday partyers are going to drink. This way, motorists and their vehicles get home in one piece."

AAA's Tipsy Tow Service runs from noon Sunday, March 17 until 4 a.m. Monday, March 18. It's free to both AAA members and non-members. AAA will give a free ride within a 15-mile radius of the pick-up point.
