Dara Gray had three home runs and eight RBI but Oklahoma Baptist settled for a split of a softball doubleheader with MidAmerica Nazarene, winning 4-0 before a late rally fell short 7-6 in the nightcap.
Kenna Self had a two-run home run in the first and Dara Gray added a two-run home run in the second for the four Lady Bison runs. OBU finished the first game with five hits, including two by LeNae Sanchez.
Hannah Wilbur had a three-hit shutout, striking out six batters, to get the win.
OBU fell behind 2-0 in the first inning of the second game, but tied it up in the second on a two-run double. The Lady Bison took a 4-2 lead on another two-run home run by Gray in the fourth inning.
MNU scored five times in the fifth on two home runs for a 7-4 lead. OBU scored twice in the sixth on yet another two-run home run by Gray. OBU got the tying run in scoring position on both the sixth and seventh but ran out of big hits.
Gray's three hits and Amanda Harmon's two paced the eight-hit attack by the Lady Bison.
Chainelle Flores was charged with the loss.
