Medical Examiner Rules 10-Month-Old OKC Baby's Death Homicide

New information is learned about the death of a 9 month old girl, more than a year after it happened.

The State Medical Examiner's Office ruled Lyrik Martin was murdered by blunt force trauma to the head and abdomen.

Paramedics were called to Lyrik's home in February of 2012, when her mother called 911 to report she wasn't breathing.

The baby was rushed to the hospital where a doctor found she had head trauma and multiple broken ribs. They were unable to save her and she died three days later.

The girl's mother told police she had been sick for several days. A police report shows the family told them she had been diagnosed with an ear infection.

No arrests have been made in the case.
