A police officer stops a man as he is caught slamming a teenager into the ground.

The Oklahoma City officer says he was called Sunday, March 24 after someone saw the suspect, 28-year-old Levi Clayton Eden, hitting a teenage boy.

When he got to the scene near S.W. 74th Street and Walker Avenue, he says he saw Eden assaulting the teen. According to a police report, the officer yelled several times for Eden to stop but the man was focused on the assault. The officer grabbed Eden to stop him from further assaulting the child.

The boy told police he had attended Life Church with Eden and says Eden was mad at him for coughing in church. The report states Eden thought the boy was laughing not coughing.

Eden was arrested and transported to the Oklahoma County Jail and booked on complaints of domestic abuse.

Eden was never charged in the case and released from jail. Eden tells News 9 it was all a misunderstanding.
