OHP: Crash Kills Two In Pontotoc County

A 22-year-old Ada woman and 47-year-old Collinsville man are dead after a crash near the town of Roff in Pontotoc County Tuesday evening.

A 22-year-old Ada woman and 47-year-old Collinsville man are dead after a crash near the town of Roff in Pontotoc County Tuesday evening.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol report states Boyd Bolin was driving his pickup truck north on state Highway 1 when a car headed the other direction crossed the center line and hit a trailer being pulled by a GMC pickup truck then struck Bolin's car head-on.

Troopers in their report say Bolin died at the scene from massive injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the southbound car, Lauren Hatton, 22, of Ada and a 2-month old passenger were taken to the hospital. Lauren Hatton died at a Purcell hospital.

The driver of the GMC pickup truck, Jarrod Newby, 28, of Ada was not injured.

The OHP says the crash happened at 5:32 p.m.
