An 18-year-old man was arrested after police say he pointed a rifle at his mother during an argument, and at one point, fired two rounds into the air.
Cameron Hunter Raphael was arrested Wednesday night on one count of domestic assault with a deadly weapon.
According to Oklahoma City police, officers responded to a domestic dispute Wednesday night in the 6000 block of Lakeview Drive. While officers were on their way, the victim, Raphael's mother, called police again saying Raphael had a rifle and was discharging the weapon into the air.
Officers were able get Raphael under control when they arrived at the scene, and placed him in the back of a patrol car.
The victim told police they had been arguing because Raphael was involved in a car accident earlier that night. During the argument, Raphael went to the trailer and grabbed a .22 caliber long rifle. When Raphael returned to the home, he fired two rounds into the air in the victim's direction.
The victim said Raphael then pointed the rifle towards her, that's when his father began struggling with him. The father was able to remove the bolt from the rifle.
Raphael was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.
