OKC Child Care Worker Accused Of Abuse

An Oklahoma City childcare counselor was arrested Wednesday night, accused of abusing a 4-year-old child.

News 9 was at the Options Child Development Center, a therapeutic counseling center for kids with special needs, where the director acknowledges she terminated the worker as soon as she was told about what happened.

The worker has been identified as 48-year-old Tracy White. Police arrested him at his home Wednesday night. He is accused of grabbing this 4 year old little girl by the wrist, picking her up and then slamming her down to the ground.

Little Jariya's mother says she finally got the report of what happened from the child care director. She's not only mad it happened, she's mad the director, or someone at the daycare, did not call her as soon as it happened!

She says she did not find out about it until her daughter told her about the incident after school that day.

White is being held in the Oklahoma County jail on a $10,000 bond. He had passed a background check and had been with the counseling center for three years.
