Undercover cops were on patrol outside Sequoyah Middle School searching for a man offering to give kids a ride home in his van.

On Thursday, a few students came forward say they were hanging out nearby at the Kickingbird Cinema parking lot when the man in the van approached.

Eventually, police were notified and starting looking for the van and driver. He was not found.

On Friday, when five to seven other students said the same guy had offered them rides on Thursday, police took action again.

Officers dressed in plain clothes, without uniform, were checking to see if the guy was going to come back.

The man is described as a white male wearing khaki pants and a black shirt. He was driving a black van.

"It's great that these students came forward," said Edmond Police Public Information Officer.

Edmond police want students to call 911 immediately if something like this happens again.
