A chance for severe weather on Tuesday has News 9 Meteorologist asking viewers to be weather aware.
Supercells will be possible for a couple of hours after storms initiate. Those storms would be most likely to form along or just west of I-35 between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. and have the potential to produce baseball size hail, 70-80 mph winds, and a few tornadoes.
As the cold front moves in, between 8 p.m. and midnight, a squall line is likely to form, which will limit the threat of tornadoes and very large hail, but increase the threat of damaging winds.
Now is the time to make sure your storm shelter is ready to go if you haven't done so already.
